Choose walkable or transit-accessible locations during scouting

When scouting, accessibility by public transport is used as one of the criteria for choosing a location, alongside the usual technical and artistic requirements. For short scouting trips in the area, the location scout gets around by bike or public transport rather than by car.

This applies mainly to scouting and location selection in a dense urban area such as Berlin and Brandenburg, where public transport coverage is good enough to make it a realistic criterion. It is decided at the point the shortlist of possible locations is drawn up, before the final choice is made.
